Arri
was founded in 1917 in Germany by August Arnold and Robert Richter. Arri is a mainstay in the motion picture industry, producing film and digital cameras for motion pictures and cinema lighting equipment. If you are into old Film Noir’s, the first American motion picture to use an Arri Camera was the 1947 WB film, “Dark Passage,” starring Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall.
At Cleveland Camera Rental a large portion of our lighting equipment are Arri lighting products. Every piece of gear Arri makes is just that much better than the competition; The threads on their light stands don’t break, the electrical wiring is reliable in varying weather conditions and the light housings can take a beating, just to name a few examples. Cleveland Camera Rental offers a couple of different Arri lighting options for rent. We offer a “Arri choose four lights kit,” which could include the following combination of fresnels: the Arri 150w, the Arri 300w, and the Arri 650w, and the Arri 1k open-face. We also offer the Arri 1.2k LTM HMI Fresnel and the behemoth Arri 2k Fresnel. Cleveland Camera Rental is also interested in the various new LED lighting options offered by Arri and will be looking to offer some in the near future.
